Taxes and receipts

What you are charged on top, and what you get back for your records.

  1. Every price is in Canadian dollars, before tax.

  2. GST or HST is added at checkout at the rate for the province in your billing address — 13% in Ontario, 15% in the Atlantic provinces, 5% in Alberta and the territories.

  3. The receipt shows the tax separately and names our GST/HST registration number, which is what your bookkeeper needs to claim the input tax credit.

  4. Receipts stay on the billing page. You do not have to save the email.

You should see

You can hand the receipt to whoever does your books without being asked for anything else.

If it did not work

The tax looks wrong. It follows the billing address, not where the person paying happens to be. Check the address on the purchase.

You need a receipt reissued. Write to [email protected] with the date and amount.
